Finding Art in Our Own Work

Finding Art in Our Own Work

These are the times when I wonder, "What am I doing.."

The daily news cycle is unrelenting. I don't want to listen, but I can't ignore the children suffering, people dying, animals choking.

And I am marketing skincare?

I open my ReMI ceramic to get ready for the day, angry at the world, angry at myself.

And then, I am reminded of the beautiful souls involved in ReMI.

Ryan, the ceramicist and artist.

Stacey, the green chemist.

Greg, the Australian essential oil farmer.

My customers, who see what I am trying to do.

I breathe a little deeper.

This is what I am here to do. To remind us that we are all connected. And we all care. For us, our children, our world.

I never learned to paint or sculpt or write poetry. I learned to develop products and communicate because it seemed like the sensible, adult thing to do. So I am now using these tools to reach hearts. And make a change in this world.

All these people have jumped in to help me. I can do this. I will make this day count.

This is my art.
